Organize Products
Each store's products can be organised into "main" and "sub-groups". The "main" group can have sub-groups attached to it. Each store can also have more than one "main" group and multiple subgroups under them as shown below:

Creating a Main Group
- Insert Group Name and tick "Main Group"
- Insert Group description and Group Image ( The group description and group image are optional fields and can often be omitted)
- Press Insert
Creating Sub Groups under Main Groups
- Insert Sub Group Name in "Group Name" field. Do NOT tick "Main Group" checkbox
- Select Upper Level Group for "Subgroup of:" drop down list.
- Insert Group Description and Group Image (The group description and group image are optional fields that can often be omitted)
- Press Insert
Note: You must use absolute(full) path for Group Image e.g."http://www.your-domain.com/images/image.jpg". If used the product and group images must be uploaded to your own web space along with the rest of your site's content.
Modify Groups:
This enables for names, descriptions and images to be changed for previously entered groups.
- Select Group Name from Group Name drop down list which you wish to modify.
- Press Continue button.
- Next screen will display the Group information.
- Make modification as required.
- Press Modify button.
Delete Group:
This will delete a specific group and all of its sub groups. It will also delete the products contained within these groups.
- Select the required group from Group Name drop down list.
- Press Delete.
Share/Relocate Groups:
This option allows to copy the contents of one group to another group where it will become the sub group of the new group.
- Select the group you wish to copy from "Group Name" drop down list.
- Select the group under which you want to copy above selected group from "Copy to" drop down list.
- Press Copy Group button.
Insert Products in Groups:
Product data is inserted after groups have been set up. Each product is then inserted into the relevant product group. A testgroup with one test product is already inserted into the software for test purposes.
To insert a new product into any Group;
- Select Insert Product
- Select product's group.
- Insert product details. Product images are absolute paths to the product image. i.e. http://www.yourdomain.com/image.jpg and should be uploaded to your own web server along with the rest of the website.
- Stock Quantity is ready set to 1000 units and can be changed to required quantity. By default the store will continue to take orders for this product even when stock runs out. To stop this use the stock control feature so that it does NOT accept backorders. Stock Control feature is only available in the Plus Version of the software.
- Press Insert.
NOTE:: For larger numbers of products, data may instead be imported from an external spreadsheet or database by exporting it into a csv file format and then importing it into BazaarBuilder. Import of data is done by selecting " Import Catalog" link from the left menu.
NOTE:: If you have set specifiers like colour/size/weight etc, you will see the following screens allowing you to specify the options for this product you just inserted. Otherwise you can set up options for this product using Build Shop > Option Manager.
If you have not set any options in Option Manager then you will not see following screens, your product will be inserted in catalog.
Updating/Deleting Catalogue Products:
Products can be updated or deleted after selecting from a Group or Sub Groups.
- Select Modify Product.
- Select product's group.
- Select product from drop list.
- Select "Update" to change product data. On following screen make required modifications and press insert.
- or "Delete" to delete the product from catalog.
- Press Insert.
Import Catalogue:
For larger number of products it's possible to import data from a spread sheet. The spreadsheet is first export to a CSV file format and then the Comma between individual fields is replaced by the " pipe "(|) sign ( vertical solid bar on keyboard). NOTE: data is imported one group at a time. Before uploading you MUST name each file to "products.csv" file. Using alternative file name will cause failure
- Select Group Name into which you want to import the products.
- Select the previously prepared "products.csv" file on your own computer using the browse button
- Set the order of fields as in products.csv file. This tells the system what each column in your products.csv file represents. Code and Product Name fields are mandatory.
- Press Submit
